For some of you looking to apply to redpepper, this may be your first internship opportunity. For others, this could be your 5th internship already. Either way, you’re probably wondering what makes redpepper so great & unique. I’ll reveal the big secret; it’s because we function like Dunder Mifflin on The Office. Here’s how & why that’s a good thing.

  1. The Personalities

To say the least, everyone on The Office is a character, even Toby. They’re unique individuals with their own interests and passions, sometimes to an extreme. I’m here to tell you that the people of redpepper can be just as fun, interesting, and generally loveable! Everyone here has such fascinating backgrounds that have gotten them where they are today and such one-of-a-kind talents. It’s so cool to observe that and see how each individual fills a special niche within the organization, and how you can as well.

2. The Fun

Dundler Mifflin Scranton does everything from ice skating to holiday parties to trips to the dojo as a way of keeping things lively. Here at redpepper, we do things like that too! redpeppers attend weekly trivia nights at the bar next door, there are gatherings for every holiday you can imagine, and there are even intramural sports teams if you’re wanting to get a good workout in. It’s a great way for interns to get to know people.

3. The Opportunities to Learn

people learn in many ways.gif

Michael Scott passionately provides mentorship for all the employees in his charge. Remember the Michael Scott School of Business? redpepper interns get that same opportunity. There are weekly chats called “Coffee and Questions,” in which interns get the opportunity to talk to current employees about what they do. That way, if you want to learn about something outside of your department, you have the opportunity to ask! Even outside of those chats, everyone is more than happy to talk to you and answer your questions about redpepper.

4. The City

The Electric City!

Scranton is a hip and happening place. With bars like Poor Richard’s, it’s no wonder Michael calls it “The Electric City.” Nashville, or “Music City” as it is widely known, is the exact same way. There is constantly stuff going on, from concerts to bars to craft shows, and you’ll find endless things to entertain you. redpepper is conveniently located right near plenty of yummy restaurants here in Germantown, as well as the farmers market right around the corner, so you don’t have to go far to find a quick break from work and experience Nashville at its peak.

5. The Push to Succeed

Michael Scott always wants to see his employees succeed, and that’s the same feeling people have here at redpepper. redpeppers want you to ask them questions, to challenge yourself, to go above and beyond to discover what new things you can be doing. They want you to find your purpose, and they want you to grow in both your career and your personal life. It can be rare to find companies with the same level of focus on growth and development as redpepper, so take advantage of it!
